Set the comment status for each post type.

Post Type Settings for Comments

For each post type on the site, you can:

• Hide the Comment Section

• Enable discussion settings by default (for new items only)

• Force comments open, closed, or leave as-is.

• Force pingbacks open, closed, or leave as-is.

If you ever want to blanket show or hide comments, the per-post-type settings will prove beneficial.
