Post Type Comment Settings
Set the comment status for each post type.
For each post type on the site, you can:
Hide the Comment Section
Enable discussion settings by default (for new items only)
Force comments open, closed, or leave as-is.
Force pingbacks open, closed, or leave as-is.
If you ever want to blanket show or hide comments, the per-post-type settings will prove beneficial.
